Clip of Custo Barcelona ready to wear.

Diane von Furstenberg

The highlight of my mad dash to see as many show as i could at fashion week New York, was to see Diane von Furstenberg, in person. Well worth the embarrassment of getting caught and kicked out, although i managed to sneak in and snag a invite and a product list i wish i could have sat front row maybe next time.would lover to see her create a mens wear collection.

Fashion Week Highlights

Burberry Prorsum

All ways a show stopper Burberry made the top of my list this season. The use of color was not over powering and the cable knit pullovers were modern. I would love a cow fur double-breasted trench coat.

Thierry Mugler

This collection made my top 3 this season. Everything about this collection was marvelous from use of cut, textile, print, and leather it was edgy yet futuristic and refined down to a sophisticated framework for everyone to appreciate and possibly purchase. I wanted and loved so many looks for example the leather pants and the blue cropped shawl blazer.

Trussardi

I loved every bit of it the garments worked well individually loved to see more use of accessories the color scheme. Every look was masculine and sexy.

Yohji Yamamoto

This collection had a retro feel to it the cute was reminiscent of the twenties but modern in refinement.

Ann Demeulemester
this season stuck out to me, the brilliant use of Layering and cut caught my eye. I loved the minimal use of color and the use of print was edgy and innovative. Shying away from not matching added to the garments workability individually and as a cohesive all together.

Henrik Vibskov - Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Show

Trend Spotting

This my modern spin on a semi rustic look, this look can be dressed up or down depending on the situation. Great look for Autumn and Winter the boots have a Punk-rock feel while the blazer adds the gentlemanly affect.

Moschino Menswear Fall 2010 and Spring 2011

Moschino Menswear

Italian fashion design house Moschino was established by Franco Moschino in 1983 since Franco Moschinos death Rossella Jardini has served as the label’s creative director in 1994.The Styl.com reporter and fashion guru Tim Blanks, discussed the theme of this years collection as. " The house's Spring collection gave it to them three ways: Pop, Rock, and Classic. Pop, in the Warhol sense of the word, runs in the label's veins, so there were cartoon shirts, headphones silkscreened in a Warhol style, and a Lichtenstein BAM! The Rock range featured white shirts pierced with nipple rings and an AC/DC tee reconfigured to read "AB/CD." The retro feel of the collection was well delivered, yet had a post modern refinement that makes the clothing timeless and refined.
