There has been an amazing surge of African inspired fashion this season. The vibrant colors, avant-garde folk art prints, luxurious garment textiles make for an inspiring and innovative trend to see on the streets and in the runway. Some established design houses such as Burberry Prorsum have branched away from traditional textiles for a more organic look. While emerging designers such as, Woolrich Woolen Mills and Agnes B have used the elaborate folk art textiles to make a statement gaining well deserved exposure. Matched with the less flamboyant garments to offset the extravagant print and color it looks excellent this look is more appropriate for casual occasions, like lunch dates and days in the town, but that can be slightly dressed up for a late night excursions to the bar or club, depending on the right shoes and accessories.
